I highly doubt the springs had anything to do with a faulty sensor.

The M5/M6 has EDC aswell .. so they have the time to figure it out..

But then again Audi with their DRC ...

Bad news guys..got this error message as well on Sunday. Springs have been on for about 2 weeks. I'm guessing it'll be a sensor just like the op..I hope anyway.

More than likely it's just the sensor. There have been a lot of sensor issues with these cars that I've seen on the forum. Take it to the dealer and keep us updated. I've had my H&R's on for about 1K miles and so far no problems yet but it's still early.

Okay update guys..not good either

The dealer ran the car thru on the computer and said they found no "hard" faults. They basically reset the error and test drove the car upon which it came back. After that they reset it again but it still came back.

Their explanation for the error is that because the car is lower, it is causing the sensor to see it as a malfunction in the suspension. According to them I have no faulty sensors or suspension parts. I'm really not sure what to make of this because so many people have these springs and hardly anyone has experienced problems with them. I can put the edc in normal or sport as soon as I start the car, however once I start moving the edc button no longer functions.

I've had the springs roughly 2 weeks so I guess they are starting to settle. My installer is a bmw tech and a spring install is pretty simple so I'm really not sure as to what to make of this.

Any comments/suggestions/straight up help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Do you know if the dealer replaced any parts at least for testing to see if the error clears up?

Each front EDC wire plug adapter (P/N 31312283380) cost $32.43 at http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...&siteid=214672 ... I would just buy two of those and see if replacing the current ones in your M3 would clear the EDC error.

I would start with that; if that doesn't do anything I would try going back to the OEM springs in the front struts to see if that clears the fault. I don't think that there is an issue with the rear EDC shocks as there is no reason to mess with any EDC wiring in the rear when swapping springs.

If going back to front OEM springs clears the fault then you will definitely know that you have a particular H&R problem.

I got H&Rs on my car and have them on for about two weeks. No faults at all with the system. You have to have a faulty sensor. The spring is not going to mess with your sensors. If that was the case, a good percentage of the people on here riding on aftermarket springs, will have the same fault.
