Production status confusing

Question about bmwusa.com tracking.

Placed my order on 10/5 and it went into production the day after.

Called the 800# on 10/13 and the automated message said will complete production on 10/15.

Called the 800# on 10/15 and it said "your vehicle is in transit."

All along, in the bmwusa website, it still is stuck on "Schedule for Production"

I know the website isnt as accurate so i called to speak to a live rep and they told me the car was getting inspected right now...

I thought the automated response system was accurate...said in transit but the rep said it was being inspected...seems odd to me...anyone else get weird conflicting updates?

Well if you read any of the tons of thread's here you would know dealer gas to most updated info. How bout you try that. Every thread here says the phone system sucks. Its always a we days behind. After it gets on boat phone system know nothing. DEALER DEALER CALL DEALER, Hope this helps.Good luck.

I did, i just contacted my Sales guy and was told that we only have two ways of checking...phone system, or bmw website...i have no clue how people here have information sooooo detailed that they even know the name of the vessel that's carrying their vehicle...maybe they;re insiders...

Your dealer sucks. Get in touch with the manager. The dealer can see EVERYTHING... even the ship.

My dealer said that BMW is way way backed up on paperwork, and the only way to confirm orders is to log into the production system and/or call. The normal confirmation emails dealers get are way behind schedule. (I'm betting he's right because I'm planning for ED in December.)
