Invoice pricing M3 Convertible
Getting frustrated with the dealership (whats new)
I built an M3 convertible at bmw's site and it came up to $74,275 msrp (double clutch, 19 inch rims and heated seats) Now on edmunds and kbb they both have this car invoice at $68,495. The dealership is giving me the line "those online sites have the wrong invoice, its really $500 higher for invoice" and then they offer me $500 on top of that which is $69,495 selling price which i think is really $1000 over invoice in my eyes. I know I can get $500 over invoice based on what I'm reading on these boards. Can someone tell me if the invoice number should be $68,495 or $68,995 like the dealership is saying? |

Here is what isn't making sense to me now. Dealership is offering $69,495 on this lease.
I have done the math 1000 times now with a lease calculator and nothing is adding up. They are telling me $782 per month with $3000 out the door. The fees I have included are $150 plate transfer, $725 bank fee and $289 doc fees making the selling price of this car $69,495 + $1,164 = $70,659 I ran the numbers with $2250 cap cost reduction + 1st month payment. 67% residual (10k miles per year) and .0016 MF This deal comes to $766.20 per month Dealership keeps saying my calculator is wrong but math is math to me. How can he be at $782 with these same numbers? Am I doing something wrong or should I stand firm with my $766.20 and not give into their games of adding in an extra $500+ into this lease I would appreciate any help with this thanks |

To get your Invoice pricing .. go HERE - http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=427717 Start with the USA port of entry pricing, then add your options, and the final number will be invoice. Dealerships will also charge what's called a MACO and Training fees. Truth be told, these are legitimate and inescapable fees, and dealerships lump them into their invoice. I'm not sure what these numbers are in NY, but if you call a few dealers up you should be able to get the exact number. Depending on the year of the car, you should be able to get the car at a MAXIMUM of 500 over invoice. (When i say invoice here, I mean Invoice + Maco + Training). Really you should have no problem getting it at 300 over invoice. And if its an older car, maybe even below invoice. (Dealership will tell you it can't go below invoice, but they CAN. They have incentives and things called holdbacks that make cars sold at invoice profitable nonetheless). Bottom line - get a better deal from these guys or walk away. - esquire

Have the dealer provide you their screen print. All the inputs are their. Like you said, it's simple math. Either you are missing something or they are not telling you something.
Don't take the dealers sh*t. You can come down to MD and pick one up for invoice. |

I am looking at the "confidential" 2011 price sheet right now and base invoice for an E93 is 61,685. I dont know if you are trying to get invoice on options as well? What other options do you want and perhaps we can give you better numbers. IMO, fighting about 500 dollars when you are spending 70k is really going to make the difference of a drop in the bucket. I think it comes out to something like 5$ a month. But if it is worth it to you then rage on and fight the man bro!

If you do the math, all the invoice pricing is consistently 91% of the MSRP. for example: 2640/2900 = .9103 (conveniencepackage) 2275/2500 = .91 exactly (premium II) so add up your invoicing options, then add gas guzzler and destination. Right?

Convertible, DCT,19s,premium 2, convenient pkg zcv, EDC, GG, Destination. My quote was MSRP 79025 on the pkgs i listed, invoice that I was told was 73,493 which seems to be $173 off true invoice. It looks like dealer will need to come down $173 . Maybe someone can figure this out for me. MSRP on car is $79025 with my 5 options, DCT,19s , premium 2, zcv, EDC on a convertible. Should invoice be $73,320 with maco and training fee. No cap cost, tax rolled into payment in new Jersey , I think 8% . 36 month,10 k no cap cost old MF was. 00180 dealer came up with $860 month. Now MF is .00160 please break it down for me. Also can I use my 1k BMW GIFT towards my my fees so less out if pocket, thanks guys. All at invoice. |
