NV OBD with ESS Tune

Hi,

Question for the group

I sucessfully loaded an ESS tune last week that was programmed to turn off CEL with removal of primary cats (which I have not yet done)

Today I tried to get a smog OBD test in Nevada. The results were "Rejected", with two areas listed: 1) OBD Catalyst and 2) OXY Sensor. Both were listed as "Not Completed" on the print out

Will either of these become ready if I complete a full drive cycle, or is this the expected result for an OBD test with an ESS tune (as I have it configured). I've emailed ESS but thought I would query this group also

Thanks in advance

Best,

Rob

Thanks

More specifically, what is OBD Catalyst failure? The cats are still there, so the tune alone as configured is causing issues

Why are you running a tune that blocks emission readiness, if you're still using cat converters

Why didn't you get the inspection first and add the tune and test pipes AFTER you passed inspection?

Put the stock file back on then go get tested. When you install the test pipes, then install the tune.

I'm sure ESS will say the same thing, but let us know what they tell you.

I wish these cars could only be started via passing an IQ test.
