Test pipes+02 spacers, CEL cyl 3, 5 misfire, limp mode (6mt)
Just wanted to say the first day I installed them, there were zero issues
Next afternoon, I drove up to get after dyno's, still fine. On the way home, I notice the car is running a little rough and not as smooth at idle. Every now and then, the car will go through erratic rpm surges between 400-700RPM, sometime even sputter and die. Instantly, I thought ignition but could POSSIBLY be the car trying to adapt to the test pipes or I needed a tune. Then the next day I get a CEL+limp mode, plugged in my scanner and read cyl 3 misfire. Started the car, let it idle....back to normal Later on in the day, CEL+engine stalls in driveway. Cly 5 misfire Upon further research, seems to be a possible Idle Control Valve issue or ignition. Anyone else have this issue after test pipes, or could it just be coincidence? Thanks! PS- I'll be posting my review with pics/dyno results later tonight |

Take the o2 spacers out and see if it continues to happen. Make sure that all the other oxygen sensors are secure and that the wiring is not damaged. Hopefully when you removed them, you unplugged and did not twist the wires.
Could be an issue with the ICV, or actuators, but usually that will cause an entire bank to fault, not individual cylinders.

I will try that though, I purchased 4 spacers but was told I only needed 2 for the front two sensors. But the wires were just disconnected and not twisted during install so I doubt it could be that. Thanks for the quick reply! Car as ran fine today but if it continues, I will bring it into the stealership monday. |

the front o2 sensors (near the header) should not have any spacers
the rear o2 sensors (the ones that install into the rear of the test pipes) need the spacers if you installed opposite of that you need to change it |

looked at pics in your other thread; remove the spacers in the primries as they only should be installed in the rear cats location. You're pulling the 02 away from the exhaust stream as there is now no cats and you're trying to fool the sensor into seeing less flow. Make sense? Take the first ones out. PM me price if you wanna sell those 2 as well. You only need the first 2! |

Oh wow! Sensors are on the primaries? Definitely the problem. Good luck w/ fix.
