DCT GTS Tune Review - (Alex@Alpine)

How much does it cost?
Can BMW tell you did this tune?
Does this void the warranty on the Trans if they can tell?

I am clearly the minority but I had gets and ESS dct tune and euro tune. Much much preferred latest version of u.s dct software. Shifts were more violent which I lived as ESS tune made it so smooth it was far less aggressive. It didn't feel as crisp. I prefer starting with d5 vs s5 andd2 with ggets/euro/ESS as I like do mode to warm up car and only like it d5.

If ESS really modified tune I would think they would offer your choice of which settings you want when car starts but they don't. ESS felt no different than gts. Euro felt same as u.s other than starting in s5. Latest OEM u.s dct really got it right. Zero lag. Smooth on part throttle, violently crisp on full throttle, I can't imagine a way to improve on it. I wonder if those who rave about ess or gets did not have latest BMW u.s software.

Hmm, don't see anything but the M page that doesn't have any tuning options or services. Where do you see this?

I spoke too soon, got my cable and USB today. 10 days after ordering online and thats with international shipping.
