2011 M3 Lease now that we're in 2012?

Local dealer has a 2011 M3 sedan left in stock. My preference is a sedan, but was disappointed when BMW didn't bring them back for '12. My preference is also Alpine/Black which is what this sedan is.

But...

I doubt it would make sense to lease a previous model year M3?

Anyone know the residual and moneyfactor on a 3/36k lease on an '11 M3 sedan?

Any insight/input is welcomed.

I don't know the residual numbers on 2011 E90 M3s. If the car is new I would assume the residual would be somewhere between 40-44K.

Do you know what the dealer is asking? I believe the residual with the terms you listed would be 57-60 percent.

It's listed on their website at full MSRP. Currently waiting to hear back from them. This is a dealer I've already discussed leasing with and have been offered $600 over invoice on an in-stock '12 or $900 over on a European Delivery, so I'm certain they can offer me a good price. I'm just curious if it would make sense even if they can offer a good price. I'm a sales rep at a Honda dealership, and I know with our product, it doesn't make any sense to lease a previous model year new vehicle due to the lower residuals. Not sure if the same applies to BMW.

Well, I leased mine less than 2 months ago. Residual is 61% for 3 yr/10k miles.

I hope the price tanks below the residual when it's time to turn the lease in, so the I can buy the car for less from bmwna.

Looks like Ryan has one down at Steve Thomas BMW as well. Emailed him this morning. Maybe I'll do a Hwy 101 trip rather than Euro Delivery.

Not a bad spec. No sunroof is good. I'd prefer the 6speed though

I think if it is exactly what you want then go for it. No sedans in 2012 and to find one with the color and interior you want then why not as long as you get a good deal.

Apparently it's an Individual Moonstone Metallic... Very interesting...

Currently waiting for more information, but it sounds like leasing wouldn't make sense due to previous model year. Money factor and residual not as good I guess. We shall see.
