DCT Fluid Temp Gauge
Has anyone installed a DCT fluid temp gauge in the ashtray console. I am adding water temp and oil pressure and am considering using the third opening for DCT temp. I do track the car, and it does get hot down here. The car also has two drivers, so it runs 8 sessions/day. If I go this route, is there any guidance on what temps would be a good reason to slow it down and pull into the hot pits? My Toyota truck would give me a trans light CEL on the dash for high temps (usually when towing and still using OD which made it hunt between 3rd and 4th a lot), but I do not want to get to limp mode.
TIA

Any oil temperature gauge will do the trick, we're using the Stack PRO Control series.

You can tell when the transmission gets hot because the shifts will get a little sluggish. Meaning that when you press the paddle there's a little delay in the shift. Unless you are shifting a ton you'll run into oil temp issues first.
IMO its a waste unless you've upgraded your oil cooling system. Then you might be able to overwhelm the DCT cooler.

On your boss, are you picking up the temp on the hot side or the cooler return side?

Both, as there are ports on both hot/cold sides of the MS Gauge Boss.

you are running two trans temp gauges? I know there are ports on both sides, but I only plan to pick up the temp on one of them and plug the other. just trying to decide if I want to know the temp leaving the trans or coming back. either way, I just need a baseline and maximum before I ease off.

These pics should illustrate what I'm referring to. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I completely understand. I just wondered which side you were monitoring in-cabin.
