Hot tire pressure Nitto-05

So I have started to run my square track set up with 275-35-18 Nitto-05 all around. For those running the same set-up, what hot tire pressures do you shoot for at the track?

The proverbial 38 psi?

I have asked Nitto but they responded with some advice on how to warm up the tires before doing drag strip timed runs..

38-39 psi hot worked well for me last weekend on my *140 treadwear and staggered NT-05 setup. I Think I started the day at 30-31 psi and let a little more air out for the 3rd and 4th sessions to get back to 38-39 hot.

Thanks! I got the regular 200 treadwear version as a compromise but from what I read the 140 is great!

I was in the high 30's before but found my tread wear was more in the center of the tire on one side. I've since dropped it to the mid 30's how and it seems to have more even wear.
I'll flip them after a couple more events.

Im on Nitto NT05 200 treadwear and grips very well at 38-40psi hot. When I was COTA, my pressure was 32 psi cold and I would do a couple of warm laps before really pushing it. The tire pressures never when past 40psi. On autocross/drift events, my pressures are 35-38psi cold and would go up to 40psi hot. The highest top speed I would hit on the course is 70mph briefly, its mainly a 2nd gear course.

Same observation after two track days, I'll try for a slightly lower hot number next time (mid-30's).

i forgot to check them once and the car didn't quite feel right. remembered to check the pressure and that turned out to be it.

Sounds good, I'll aim for something like 36-37 hot next time and monitor the treadwear. Of course, I am going to Watkins Glen next week, where the forecast is rain and 50 degrees temperature...might have to keep the A/S 3 all-season boots on!

Sorry to sort of hijack, but same question same size for RE71R's? Will be on Barber at mid to high 80's air temp this weekend, first time on track.

I run -2 up front and the edges are fine... but I'm not "instructor fast."
