Wow... Pathetic... I hate when shit like this happens... Sorry to hear about this. And your right, it's just a piece of plastic/carbon or whatever.. But damn, that shit would piss me off too... Seems like our cars are never safe...

The problem is that it's too close to the rest of San Ho. Sorry for your experience OP.
No worries, could have been worse. Never knew that (I'm guessing certain parts of) San Jose could be dangerous. I don't really venture down there besides the occasional Sharks game.

That's a shame. Though kudos to you in retaining a sense of humor in spite of all this.

Holy cow man...Vallco! Unfortunately riff raff are everywhere. You can
even park at Valley Fair or Santana Row and have your car jacked up unfortunately.

I agree with what everyone says, our cars are not safe anywhere. So many times, I'm up in SF or at a mall and I'll be "oh shit, I know I'm gonna regret this." When you daily drive your car or take it around town you're rolling the dice. Damn

Props to you man for being cool and calm. I would be a one man lynch mob coming after the people who did this. I used to think my M3 would just be a weekend car. Now its my daily driver...I figured life is too short.

Dat sucks balls!

To be honest, I'm surprised more wings are not being stolen ... it seems so damn easy to take off. I suspect another BMW/M3 owner did it because most people would probably not know that's it attached only by double sided tape.

Cupertino is a nice area, but I guess there are some bad apples (pun intended).

I'll keep an eye out for any local wing sale.

I had to order a new connector and crimp that on.

Even worse, I suspect this happened at the BMW meet MPACT. I didn't notice anything when I washed my car before heading to the meet. The next day, while I was washing my car I noticed the hole in my trunk. My buddy suspects that it was a non-m 3 series owner, as our m3 license plate lights are an upgraded version because they're led, and they're just a slot in replacement on non-m e9x's.
The E92 LCIs have LED license plate lights but I see what you're saying. That's insane that someone would steal them.

If it was a planned job that is scary. I have been to Vallco twice in my life including yesterday, not particularly by choice but by necessity. Cupertino has never really struck me as a shady place...nor an interesting one, but that is another topic. You just never know these days I guess.

Regarding the beta link, for those who have it already or are considering installing with double stick tape (and I suppose know for sure that they don't ever want to remove the spoiler), I'd say beta link is a good idea. For me, I'll keep it spoiler-free and clean, once I have time to take off the adhesive and wash the car. I'm not planning on keeping this car long so it's not a big deal for me, plus get to try something different.

As for the title, I'm glad you found it entertaining. I'm not pissed or anything about this, stuff happens and sometimes the only thing you can do is laugh about it.
I'm sorry to hear about your spoiler. Where you thinking about buying a different car?

Damn I just got my spoiler and was going to 3M it... maybe I'll betalink it now since I'm in the cupertino area a lot too. This spoiler can go on any E92 which is probably why it's popular
