What does this mean?

I'm roughly 10 months in and have racked up 7,700 miles. I'm curious to know when my service is due (thought it would be roughly at the one year mark).

I noticed the image below and was wondering if the computer is telling me service will be due at 9,000 miles but what throws me off is the 1/2013. I haven't been able to find any other service lookups in the computer.

You can get a free one if its been more than a year since your last.

My state inspection is 4/13 and I get that same message at start up since forever. Do I really need to know 2 years ahead of time?

I would be more concerned about this.. (ABS and Brake in yellow) ?..It looks like you car is running am I wrong?

Is the OP just that quick with a camera though??? They only light up for a few seconds after starting... Also judging by the temp and somewhat blurriness of the picture I'd almost venture to say he was driving at the time

Had to catch it right after starting...prob did a quick shut-down and restart for the pic.

Not too shabby lol

Like the others said you can get a free change from the dealer every year, since the BMW intervals are so long. I always do 2 changes a year, 1 free one from the dealer and one myself.
