Not true on an x-pipe. The rasp noise is due to the catback inlet, not the xpipe. I checked with Sonic MS to make sure of that.

It's the ring noise then. Because the V2 x-pipe added two resonators to reduce the ring noise.

Are you looking to get x-pipe only or the front pipe as well? I saw the thread that selling it for US$400 but you will regret it because he is selling the v1, and it will have ring noise.

Again, the resonators weren't the issue, it was the inlet on the catback...please check with Eloy at RPI and with SonicMS before buying.

Also, I agree that $450 is about right for a V1. The V2 should be around $600 - $650.

OP, good luck with your purchase. I'll have a V1 for sale, but not for at least one month.

What catback do you have RPI V1, RPI GTM or another vendor?

If you have a GTM, it won't matter which front/xpipe you buy. If it's a V1, you will get the ring noise. I kind of like it (the ring makes it sound exotic imo), but the ring can be a bit annoying before the system warms up.

I'll be at Targa Trophy in LA this month if you want to hear it in person.
