Goof Off, Goo Gone or Eraser Pad?

I just ordered the ZCP Spoiler from Tischer so which product do you guys think is best to clean off the gunk from the old spoiler?

ive been using goo gone for everything.. double sided tape stains, sticker marks on glass, etc.. worked great with no problems for me.

that is not bad but hard to locate. go to your local auto parts store and just get some goo-gone and some wd-40.

use all in moderation and patience, its not rocket science.

I wouldn't use ANY adhesive remover. It's going to turn the tape into a goopy, sticky, wet mess. Since you're going to have to polish the area anyway the best thing I've found is to use my thumb or my fingernail. Yes, you're going to mar the area a little bit but even a mild polish will remove that and you're good to go.

And don't use WD-40. WD-40 is a water displacer not a lubricant nor an adhesive remover. Gasoline is a much better adhesive remover it just has the downside of being toxic and flammable.

LOL...I've been using my thumb and fingernail up until now as well (for debadging and whatnot). Just wanted to go with something quicker this time around to avoid the blisters since I'm assuming this will be a fairly large area to deal with.

Don't ever use the eraser pad on paint. That stuff is abrasive and will ruin the finish.

Coming from someone that has removed hundreds of clear bras for customers use adhesive remover. That "goop" you speak of can be wiped away with EASE compared to the crap left behind using gas.

This is what I was worried about but it seemed like the product was made for this type of application so I was wondering if any forum members had experience with it. Thanks for the insight.

i use goo gone gel. works very well and quickly. just clean and clay the area after if you're worried.

IME gas and Goo Gone/Goof Off turn the tape into the same crap but gas is MUCH easier to remove from the paint. Goo Gone/Goof Off residue is a PITA to remove.

I've used the Magic Eraser on a couple of small spots for paint transfer. Worked PERFECTLY! Amazing, but I was worried about the finish...seems okay though.
