Help with Tires

I'm looking to order the Velocity Motoring V710's From EAS but can't decide on tires. From what they offer here with their tire packages, what is a good tire at a reasonable price.

I searched all the reasonable priced tires and they all seem good but i would like some input from people who have tried them.

Thinking between
Bridgestone potenza RE960AS pole positions
Bridgestone potenza RE-11
Bridgestone potenza RE760 sports

But open to suggestions.

Which finish are you doing? I like the look of these too...but can't bring myself to pull the trigger. If you go gunmetal...or matte black i'd love to see them once you get them!

I'm going Matte black. They look identical to the HRE P40's, just not nearly as much $$. They will look something like this...

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...hlight=exhaust

I want to try and have them on and all mods done before the next meet here on the east coast whenever that may be.

AS means All season, not summer tire like PS2.

If you need tires for light snow driving, get these.

If you are on a very tight budget, go for the Bridgestone 760 or Kumho SPT.

If you are willing to spend a little more, RE-11 or Goodyear GS-D3 are good choices.

The Kumho XS is pretty good too.

Among 3 you listed, I would recommend RE-11s

RE11's

Has anybody driven with the Bridgestone RE 11's? Saw them on display at Barrett Jackson last week and they looked promising. Would love some first hand feedback.

Get some Sumitomo HTRZ-III or Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric.

FYI, for what it is worth.

I tried the Goodyear Asymmetric's on my 335I and I thought they sucked. To me, they felt like an all-season tire from a performance standpoint rather than a summer tire.

I swapped them out for the RE01-Rs and was MUCH happier.

So my suggestion is go with the new RE-11s, low tread wear, but an awesome tire from a drivers/performance standpoint

Check the weight of the tires before deciding. You can be adding some serious weight per corner over the PS2s for any given size.

Goodyear F1 Asymmetric has gotten great reviews by tirerack and C&D.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....+F1+Asymmetric (click on tests there)

The problem is sizing. Same with the F1 GS-D3.

Click on the C&D review on this page (but it is from 2005):

I saw the reviews on Tire Rack before I bought them, I just didn't agree with their review. Like I said, I did have them, so my opinion is real world. I also said "take it for what it's worth". I put the RE01-Rs on and it was SO much better and the difference was night and day to me.

So again, just my .02 from someone who tried them
