Satellite prep?

My 2011 E92 M3 has the "satellite preparation" option so no satellite radio but has the wiring, etc. I called my local dealer about getting it installed but he said I can't. He went on about BMW not offering it due to XM/Sirius merger... blah blah blah. I can't believe it.

Has anyone else encountered this? My spidey sense was telling me he was just blowing me off because its a pain for the dealership and I find it hard to believe that he just said no... wasn't expecting that.

Anyone out there successfully added the stock satellite radio after purchase?

Thanks for the help.

I assume you have the navigation (idrive) correct? If so, the Sat Radio tuner is built into the CIC. All that is required to activate the Sirius is a BMW FSC code + a little coding. Contact Patryk if you want Sat Radio.
