Mod therapy for the Class of 2013

it's been said on this forum that buying/planning your mods for your upcoming M3 is almost therapy for the edginess , fidgeting and all around impatience when it comes to waiting for your car to come in.

so, for those of us who have cars yet to come in , i've put this thread together to help deal with the gnashing of teeth and frustration of waiting. so, speak up and let us know what you've got planned or what you hope to plan in mods for your M3.

if you've already bought particular products and want to recommend them or a helpful vendor on here...go ahead and mention that.

if you plan to keep it bone stock or you want to chime in with advice or crits for these new owners don't be shy....speak up,too!

i'll go ahead and start.

for my upcoming frozen grey/rust brown M3 here's what i got planned...

1) F10 shift knob
2) performance pedals
3) thinking about performance steering wheel
4) MPE (purchased)
5) KW sleeve over kit ( purchased) BUT....
6) thinking about going with Dinan stage 2 suspension
7) CF spoiler
8) Vorsteiner Aero front lip
9) aaaaaaannnnd, just purchased, BC Forged wheels, HB-S02s. i ordered these weeks ago, and they were just finished. the pic below are from my actual order and sent to me courtesy of BC wheels....



let me stop for a sec and give a shout out to Patrick from Sonic Tuning for these wheels. yeah, i got a great deal form them...but to say i got great customer service would be an understatement. Patrick was always ready with insight and information. that's especially good for the novice modder, such as myself. if you need any help, i'd give him a holler on here.

my favorite mod has to be these wheels so far. so, i have to give credit to fellow forum member Frank Thomas. i saw these wheels on his car and had to have them....

what i like a lot about this forum is that there is no shortage of members that are ready to help you at a drop of a hat. Frank Thomas was no exception to that. he even was cool enough to talk to me on the phone and gave me more helpful advice that i came looking for. thanks, Frank!

• Brembo 380mm euro spec (-5lbs over US kit) w/Endless pads
• Akrapovic Evolution (-50lbs)
• ESS Tune

• AFE Filter
• IND keyhole delete
• IND OEM M3 trunk w/Molded Performance Spoiler
• IND Euro Front Bumper w/Molded Performance Splitters
