Congrats to your friend. I look forward to seeing the IS-F around SoCal. I hope they made the back seat a little more roomy.

I loved my IS300... it is not a bad car. And the competition keeps all the offerings in this segment on the cutting edge. All the better for us!

The exhaust is still ugly though. Overall it looks like an interesting car, but nothing id want to own.

Still look fake to me. Any exhaust attached to the bumper is FAKE. I thought they learned their lesson with the Celica.

Damn. I think people need to calm down with the exhaust issue. It's been discussed a thousand times. It would be better to say congrats I think.

As far as I know, the preproduction models have the fake exhausts and the production models have real ones. Could you confirm with your friend? Anyway, I'm sure lots of IS-F owners will change their exhausts. Regarding the interior, the M3 interior isnt any more special than a 335i which is already quite dull IMHO. I prefered the E46 interior.

My fav thing about the exhaust is the HUGE Toyota stamp on the bottom! LOL I know a pic is floating around here somewhere.

Nice purchase to your friend!

What is with the unreasonable criticism going on here? These new sport saloons are very excellent cars and still does take an experienced driver to drive them to their limits. I'm not saying I can, but I'm sure not many of you guys can either; at least to a benchmarking perspective.

So the IS-F qualifies a person for handicap parking? That says something.

No, it's called wanting to park to his friend to take pictures of the cars together. Don't post up stupid shit to bash the IS-F.

They both qualify as stupid la. Let's get back to the OP before this gets off-topic.

I actually like the overall looks of the IS-F, the bonnet is a bit different but if you dismiss this small awkwardness about the overall design, things actually look good. I love the colour and the wheels are possibly the it's best feature.

I hope your mate doesn't take this the wrong way but after the excitement of the outside the interior looks an anti-climax. Maybe it looks better when you see it in person.

what a color!

Regardless of whether or not you are a fan of this car, that dyno run from automobilemag proves the motor is a gem. Plenty of torque down low and the power just keeps coming on in an almost perfectly linear fashion. I bet the throttle response/sensitivity on that thing is amazing (if they calibrated the stupid throttle by wire system right that is).

And wow what a color! Makes me a bit jelous, my montego blue just isn't as exciting anymore
It looks kinda similar to estoril blue, my favorite bmw color. Anyone else think so?

That may be so, but it's NOT THE SAME TYPE OF TRANSMISSION.

The F1 in Ferrari's are TRUE manual tranny's. This is an auto, with faux-shifting. There is a difference.

When it is a true manual clutchless transmission, then compare. I guarantee the shift speeds would not be the same nor faster.

Can't bring myself to like the IS-F. I just find it overdone. Not to my tastes really.
