Did my research but still could not find an answer!!!

I've been meaning to purchase a set of angel eyes for a while now. I came across the AIB 4.0 and the LUX H8. I've read all the threads I can find comparing the two but I have a question I cant seem to find an answer to. Many members on the forum say the AIB are whiter and that the LUX H8 are white too but with a hint of blue. I cant find any pictures of the LUX H8 with a bluish hint, to me both the angel eyes look white. Im looking for a set of bright, good quality angels eyes (other than the OSS) that emits a white bluish colour. I also came across the HID 10000k. Is that colour too blue? or is it just a light blue? I cant seem to find anyone on the forum who uses these. Are they bright enough during the day? I read that HIDs heat up easier than AIB or LUX. Any input about this is highly appreciated. Thanks!!

The regular lux will have a tiny hint of blue. I got them in I think either 5000-5500 which is pure white and love it. If you want some blue, the lux might work. Search around, I remember a post talking about the lux v8 in 5000 and pics comparing it to the regular

Hi bud,

The temperature will determine colour. 5000-6000k will be a nice white colour I guess. The higher you go the more blue it will get. My HIDs are 8000k and have a good aqua blue tint to them which doesn't match the xenon headlight but looks better than the stock angel eyes did when combined with the headlight.

HID definitely gets hot - if I'm in very slow moving traffic for a prolonged time I feel like I can smell the heat when I open the window (or perhaps I've become paranoid) but yes you can definitely feel the heat when you put your hand to the headlight covers under the hood.

But I've run them for a good 3 hours on highway driving, pulled over and checked the temp and they were cool. So I've tended to turn off the daytime running lights when buzzing around town during the day, but they hold up fine on high speed driving.

Definitely paranoia. No way possible you could smell them unless your car was on fire.

I agree. They do get hot, but not hot enough to melt the surrounding area. I will say that the HID ones I have seen in person are too bright though. Don't know what brand they were, but they were super bright in the day and very distracting at night. GP Thunders are good for the price, LED's like the Lux's are great, OSS if you want to ball out.

To help clarify, out LUX H8 V3 angel eyes are currently offered in a 6500k pure white color and are the brightest LED Angel eyes on the market. Depending on the color temperature you are looking for will help determine what you will be interested in, but read reviews and comments from the users here on the forums as well

I'm not sure what brand they are (had a shop fit them), but they seem less bright than stock during the day which I'm okay with, but agreed they appear much brighter at night but only really when the headlight is also on :-/ The rings alone don't seem to be distracting, but the combination of the rings and the xenon lamp create a very bright white/blue haze which could be distracting.

I'll see how other road users react and hopefully move to a lux kit in a few months.

To answer the original post, if I could go back a month I'd start with the lux kit based on all the reviews here and the pictures.

The AIB looks and im sure are fantastic but it's just not my taste. I'm looking for something blue, the AIB are just too white. I came across this picture on the LUX website and these are the perfect blue i'm looking for. Are these the normal 6500k? or are they 6500k+? Many thanks!

I'm sure a Lux user will respond to your above question to verify, however looking at that picture, that is exactly how my HIDs look.

our LUX H8 V3 angel eyes are a 6500k white color. Pictures are always difficult because the color balance on the camera will change the color of the angel eyes. Its very difficult to find accurate pictures of angel eyes, however we have picked the most accurate pictures and posted them to our website for comparison.

From your initial post I believe that you are looking the same thing I was looking for. Get the LUX. You won't regret it. BTW, pics don't do any justice to what they look in real life.
