Thumbs up Upcoming Audi R4 coupe looks awesome in new images (and details)

from http://www.r4um.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217

The R4 coupe like that would look awesome!

via R4um.com

This would give the future M3 coupe a run for its $ for sure especially if it goes mid engined.

Not so fast, I thought this was killed because it would compete with the TT. Tell me otherwise and I'll be happy.

R4 coupe? Don't they already have a coupe based off the A4 chassis named the A5?

What is next? An A5 sedan?

Only if you drive this in reverse. It's a mid engine based on the sub-Boxster level Porsche. And there is a 5 door A5 already.

You should take a trip to Germany one day, they are everywhere.

Didn't know about the 5door A5.

I guess since it's a similar relationship as the R8 to A8. Just seems odd at first viewing though. Looks a bit too much like a 370Z though.

So they WOULD put the TT-RS engine in there with 400hp. Would be great if it was 3000 lbs plus or minus 100

Not only the TT, but the article brought up a good point of this competing with the 911 as well. Methinks VAG wouldn't like this.

Hmm, also looks like this.
VAG has stated that they intend to become the world's largest automobile manufacturer so watch as they try and fill every conceivable niche with Audis and Porches. I think they must have found a 1970s GM strategy plan and I bet the outcome will be just as good.
