Pop Quiz #2!

Ok, what is it? This is on an E90. There's no prize for this one. You have to tell me it's name, or what exactly it's for.

It is the sensor for the automatic unit control. I don't freaking know, mayb it sensor for the climate to maintain the desire temp set by the user/driver. I got it though right?

yeah, it's the AUC.

AUC stands for Automatic Air Recirculation. Damn germans and their acronyms!

Anyway, it sits right in front of the a/c microfilter, and "sniffs" incoming air. if it's determined that incoming air is polluted or offensive to the nose, it closes the recirculation flaps, as long as your recirc is set to auto.

Pretty cool when you're driving through cow country.

Ok, guys, new rule...

I can't enforce it AT ALL, of course, but let's try to avoid RealOem next time. It takes the fun out.

That is why I said I remember seeing it. I was wrong about the bumper but it was under the hood in plain view and not cover by anything. You do have to look for it when you open the hood.
