My car is low (tucking). Will I rip up a front lip?
Is anyone this low running a front lip? I was thinking of getting a Mode Carbon V1 lip. But someone told me he wasn't even as low as me and he's ripped up 2 lips already. He told me I'd be better off with BMW performance splitters instead.
Can anyone this low care to chime in on their experience with their lip? Thanks in advance! |

If you're that low, have you considered the Challenge Urethane GT Front Spoiler (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...lenge+urethane) or the Mode Endurance Series FRP GTS Front Lip (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...t=mode+carbon)? I'm pretty low and will be running the Challenge Urethane GT Front Spoiler once I (or the road) remove my OEM splitters. I don't know that the OEM splitters would be any better or offer you any more clearance than a V1 lip except for maybe across the middle.

The Challenge Urethane GT lip is not FRP, it's incredibly flexible.

If your car is lowered and run the mode carbon lip in cf, you will eventually scrape up and possibly shatter your lip.
It scrapes a ton, so I would recommend going with the endurance lip. It will get scraped up, really can't avoid it even if you drive extremely slow at an angle. |

How would an FRP lip be more durable than CF? The cf is most likely an overlay. Real carbon would be stronger. Op go with a urethane lip. My took a beating and looked great.

It looks like the only urethane lip on the market was the Challenge GT urethane lip. Now i can't seem to find it anywhere. Do you know if they're still being made?

I had a CF Challenge replica... I'm very low. Nonetheless, it's ripped up & trashed & cracked & scrapes 24/7. Do not recommend a Challenge since their clearance is usually lower than competitors.

I'm surprised no one has suggested getting a customer aluminum piece under the lip to try and spare it from damage. I saw alekshop did a few and that was the route I wanted to go.

Don't go AC Schnitzer, if I could go back I would spend MUCH less on a lip. Every single time I see a dip in the road I feel like I am driving with a slate of glass as a front lip, scared to destroy it and waste several thousand dollars...
