ess vt2-650 which 7 ribbed belt size to use and dinged pulley advice
My used Ess 650 kit came today but is missing the belt. If possible can one of you mates chime in with the part number or size for the correct belt to use?
also everything in the kit seems very clean except for the missing belt and one dinged up alternator pulley. Does the alternator pulley look usable still? was able to straighten some of the bent grooves and smooth out some of the dings on it. Not sure what happened here but seems like it was over tightened? you can see the front of the pulley looks like the washer dug into the aluminium as if an air compressor gun was held at high speed. I'm more worried about back of the pulley where it it looks deformed/squished from being over tighten. Will this effect placement? thanks Last edited by 2jzinsider; 05-11-2016 at 11:56 AM.. |

Yeah. I hope you got it for a really low price. I know that you can get a brand new 625 kit less than $8k from a well known vendor on here. That's new with a warranty and tune shipped to CA. Beats monkeying around with used kits that you have no way to certify "only 5k miles", pay for a tune/cable, and carry no mfg warranty.

lets just say my cousin paid his debt off by giving me his supercharger..p3 gauge and test pipes. That being said I'm going to take it as a better than nothing situation lol anyway the pulley was ding up from careless pissed of removal/transportation. I'm not sure why it looks over tighten though kinda like it was super torque down with an air gun at the highest setting for over 20 secs. You can see the waster part dug into the pulley aluminium a good amount. |

for $200 or less i'd just purchase a new one so the expensive belt doesn't get damaged.
