Winter setup: Blizzak WS70 on Black 18" Sport Edition A7
18x8 Black Painted Sport Edition A7
235/40R18 Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 Spacers on front and rear (15mm front, 18mm rear, I think) Haven't had a chance to drive on them yet, but I'm pretty happy with how they look considering they're $130/wheel (plus tires) I'm wondering if I should take the spacers off. They worked fine on my last tires (PSS on OEM 19s) but I might need to occasionally use chains, which could really mess shit up if they make contact with the fenders. Also, I'm impressed I could fit my regular set of tires in the backseats. The convertible is like a small pickup truck...

Can't see the pic but sounds great, WS70 is a solid/very aggressive tire.

Yes front and rears are identical wheels and tires, but front has 15mm spacers, rear has 18mm.

IIRC the owner's manual states chains should only be used on the rear so I think you'd want to run a rear spacer with the A7 wheels that matches the stock rear wheel frontspacing (essentially the distance the front lip/face of the wheel sticks out from the hub) - this would give you the same wheel/tire to fender clearance that the stock wheels have and, therefore, should give you the clearance needed to run chains on the rear. |

Nicely done. We have Blizzaks on my car, my wife's 328xi, and the family Acura MDX. After our 12+ inch snowfall here yesterday we took the kids to a local hill for sledding. There were no available spaces in the plowed parking lot, so I barreled into the unplowed lot's 18-24 inch drifts with the MDX. Between the relatively high ground clearance, the AWD, and the Blizzaks, it was no problem. With regular all-season tires, the MDX would probably still be sitting in the lot until the thaw comes.
