ARKYM lip fitment question and confirm

Does not reach wheel wells, has gaps in major areas...worse than an ebay lip...

This is an authentic Arkym front lip. Bought brand new. So its not a cheapo redo. On both sides it doesn't quite reach the wheel well. I just wanted to confirm with someone who has this lip if this is how it sits, before I try to attempt to make it perfect and fail.

I looked for days everywhere for a ARKYM front lip picture and could not find one showing a straight picture from the side like mine below.

Each picture I found was too dark or from an angle and from an angle you cant see this small gap. The lip came with no line up instructions from ARKYM nor PYspeed, I figure it is possible to drop it off the front oem lower lip portion so that one could squeeze it back a bit. Honestly, at this point looks ebay...

Would have been nice for ARKYM or PYspeed to show a diagram or pics on the location for it to sit on the OEM front portion and how it should line up on the wheel well portion simply so an installer can confirm. Also, where to put the 3M tape for best adhesion. Easy to install it, however, to get it perfect is harder to do.

Hi M3-S65

It's recommended to have bodyshop install since there is only one chance to make it perfect due to strong double side tape adhesive.

Here are some photos and an install video that MB did, see if it help.

Mine is back just a little further than yours. I would think the tape you use at the upper edge would play a factor in how flush it fits. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it too much........Phil

Fixed...!!!

How? Less tape, bigger washers, and allot of patience..

Update: This did not fix it....gaps increased in other areas and it slowly worked its way away from the wheel wells again...POS

You definitely don't have to worry about getting to the wheel wells with this one....
IMOP its a nice piece but not as nice as the ARKYM
Neither does the Oem GTS lip, hence this lip being styled after it.

By the way I got rid of this lip because the fitment was simply crap....not only did it not reach the wheel wells as mentioned above. It had major gaps -everywhere. I would expect this from an EBAY lip but this was 1k!!!
Thankfully, PYSpeed took this POS back and returned my money....Thanks PY!

My cheapo polyurethane Ebay lip fits great! IMO considering how low my front end is, there's no reason I could ever be convinced to hang a thousand dollars off the front bumper.

Good for you, I honestly think this is smart...if you can get one that fits pretty good. Save tons and get probably better fitment.
I am trying something different...I did a bunch of research and bought a modecarbon GTS lip ..I will be getting it next week. The simplicity of the design and all the reviews I read about the fitment being great lead me to it.....I will let everyone know.

I will point out that I also bought the ARKYM Diffuser and it does fit perfect. It also is what I think is the best looking diffuser available! By the way I used to have the Black ESS exhaust, went back to stock because the fitment was horrible on it too..make sure you do your research on this forum before you purchase people. This time I wont make the same mistake...

my arkym lip has a MASSIVE gap on one side. You can literally tell the lips shape is not the same on each side. They would DO nothing about it either. Even when I begged to let me drive to them and show them in person.

Mine is about 1/2" short to the fender on EACH side too OP.

Worst company ever.

I got a rep ark lip from ebay and it fits very well. For those who want to chance it ....the vendor's name is 4Amotors. I believe some other member here has bought from them as well.
I emailed them and they gave me a combo deal shipped on a OEM carbon rear spoiler rep & the lip. Both fitment is very good. The rear spoiler is spot on!

Hope this helps...

Here are some pics.

+1 got mine from 4AMotors as well and fitment is about 9/10. Sucks when you buy the spendy one and fitment is not spot on.
