Single Game on Deck

I just recently went through the dreaded break up with someone you love but know isn't the one you're going to marry. It was the mature call on my part. I will spare all the details of the situation. So I'm back in the single mix, and have been this way for about two weeks now. I just wanted to get some of your opinions, ideas, thoughts, etc... on getting back in the single game. I've been out of it for two years. I just turned 24 and I'm living in a small college town. The night when everyone goes out is oddly on a Wednesday night. I don't go out on weeknights since I have a 8-5 job now. Anyways, what do you single guys do to get back in the grove of things and move on from the past relationship.

Hopefully Shah will chime in. I'm going to change my profile pic to me shirtless with a dyson. I hear that helps get single guys back in the game

There's nothing wrong with going out on weeknights when you have a Mon - Fri job. Hitting up happy hour after work is a good way to meet some people. Just don't get completely tanked or stay out until last call and you will be fine making it to work the next day.

I hear ya man. I'm just so worn out by the end of the day. For me that isn't until about 8. I hit the gym right after work about 5:30 or so until about 7, then go home and make dinner. By then it's 8 ish and I'm ready to hit the sack. I'm not big on drinking anyways. Plus, in this town the only people at the bar during happy hour are defiantly not going to be the people I want to kick it with and have a drink. We are talking about Commerce Texas here. If anyone here knows about Commerce Texas they will know what I'm talking about. Lol! You're right though Jason, the only way to be social is to go take advantage of every opportunity given. I'll hit up happy hour and hope for the best! Thanks for the reply BTW.

You're 24, living in a small college town, and have been single for all of....two weeks! Relax and welcome to easy street. The party doesn't start until 11 and you showed up at 5.

But you're making a critical error by thinking there's no value in going out during the week. As previously mentioned that's when you'll find the best happy hour specials. But more importantly, weeknights are also much more relaxed and provide for better opportunities to strike up good conversations with strangers than the Friday night cow frenzy at the feeding troughs.

My own thread resurrection. The original post back in April was about how to get back in the single game. I went with peoples suggestions and it went well, but I ended up back with my ex in late May. So we were only apart from a little over a month. The relationship was better than ever, so I thought. Well, we broke up two weeks ago. I find out today that she has already been having sex with another dude. Talk about a stab to the heart. I just had to add this tid-bit to my thread and vent a little.

Ouch. Know how that feels. Go out, have a barrage of sex, and never think about her again

OK so you made a mistake, no problem. Learn from that and never do it again.

Now lets get back to the original question about getting back into the game. You're 24 and live around a college town and drive a BMW for christ sake, are you mentally disabled in any way? Are you a confused homosexual? Seriously your age isn't far from a college student and you should exploit this option to the max. Mad tang to be had son, mad tang.
