Finally got my Turner Test Pipes!

After 2.5 months of waiting...finally got them Craftsmanship looks beautiful. Waiting to find an Akra Delete-R before I get a tune. I am only home about 4 times a year since I work in a different state so getting a tune and not even driving the car wouldn't make much sense financially or emotionally haha. I know the car will be safe with just the Delete-R installed.

Can't wait to install them in a couple weeks. I am going to do it myself, I think, with an angle grinder with a brand new metal cutting blade.

Looking forward to trying them out too vs the Akra mid section.

I have a delete-R if you want it. The delete R causes communication errors during programming so I wouldn't recommend it. More of a band-aid than a solution.

Much better to get a proper tune. I've tuned quite a few cars that previously used delete-R's and they love it.

The Delete R just keeps the increased emissions warning from coming on, however, it will still pop up every once in awhile as the Delete R cycles through.

I wouldn't even bother with it...either learn to just ignore the SES light or get a tune. That $400 can go toward a tune..

Save your money for a tune, and live with the check engine light if you're only home a few times a year.

How much more power and torque will a tune give with just test pipes and a K&N filter?

Yeah I think you're right. I can have extra cash left over after the first of the year once all the holiday crap is done and over with. Ill have to make my decision then. Thanks for the positive input!

Mike if you make the cut clean enough and you don't have an extra OEM Xpipe laying around, you can re-weld the primaries back on. I have seen it done...car was returned on lease turn in and the dealer didn't even notice the re-weld.

Sweet, I always wondered about that. I was leaning toward getting a x pipe just so I didn't have to find a OEM one if/when I sell the thing.
