another interior LED issue
need your expertise. i have searched extensively but no luck. everything with the led interior swap was going smoothly until the trunk light (like many others) and now after swapping blown fuse #77 the trunk light (stock) works fine. the led one will still not work.
what's concerning me the most is the footwell lights (all of them) are not coming on at all including the bottom door lights. also, the front center dome light does not work as well. i have checked and rechecked fuses 77, 61, 62, 07, and a few others. any suggestions??? this is driving me nuts! i have an 08 e92 m3 if that helps... |

That sucks! It took my seller a couple times to get mine working properly. He had to order me a different type and brand of dome, map lights and now everthing on my kit works perfectly. I have it all, except the two rear seat foot lights. I hope mine dont act up down the road.
Good luck to finding a solution!

Sorry to bump my own thread..but this is still an issue for me. Am I the only one?
I've tried numerous different led sets now.. it's just the footwells that aren't working. This is pissing me off like you wouldn't even believe. I've even bought the expensive ass Kaibird (made in Australia) full replacement LED housing for the doors and driver/passenger footwells and have tried FOUR, yes FOUR different types of T5 (74 style) led bulbs for the rear coupe footwell side lights. Pretty sure I've checked all fuses and none are blown. Did I miss one for the footwell lights? Domes and trunk LEDs work perfectly... So yesterday and tonite I tried swapping everything back to stock. NONE of the footwells turn on. So today I bought new stock bulbs at autozone and NOTHING. Did I screw something up majorly? WTF!!!! Someone has to know of a solution!!

When I was testing LEDs from eBay Sometimes you need to leave the car alone for 30min turned off It resets something, and you come back and the lights work fine On my 2012, I got the kit from sonic tuning, works great Only alight issue is the led for the sun visor is a little weak, but I can handle that The others all look great

Me neither...well, I did blow a fuse because of that little human error part. Other than that, no issues. Matches the door handle exterior lights.

well damn. I must've screwed something up pretty good because the stock footwells don't work either. I've even unplugged the battery to let it reset. Just my luck.
Crazy because my dome LEDs are super bright it's pretty annoying how bright they are actually. Been trying to get these damn footwell LEDs to work for over 2 months now

hmm strange. only issue i had with my interior leds was that some couldnt handle the power going to them and immediately fell apart so i had to order different ones which were fully functional (knocking on wood now) and have been for about 6 months at this point. the only LED lights i have a little issue with are the white led turn signal bulbs i put in but they work fine, just at start up for about 10 seconds they kind of flicker a bit.

Sorry to hear your issues.
Damn I was planning on ordering some tomorrow actually now I may hold off. Maybe we should list who had issues and what brands caused it.

I'm not positive about the footwell LED's but most of the interior LED's are not controlled by fuses but by the protected circuits in the footwell module. I believe the module goes thru 5 shorts and then is basically fried and needs replaced. Hope this helps.
