Virtually no additional electronics to add complication. Remember that this methanol control system was first designed on the N54 twin turbo engine where it would be used to bump boost and timing to levels that are completely unsupportable on race gas.

In the case of the s65 kit, the mapping we use when methanol is flowing is about as aggressive as what we've seen with off-the-shelf flashes. The difference being that the mapping is supportable (and results in power) when the Procede calls upon it (in presence of methanol flow). Whereas the aggressive mapping I've seen in the flashes only comes into play when running on race gas. All other times, the knock sensor is working overtime to keep the engine from pinging.

The stock car on 91oct has an adaptive value of -3degrees for the most part, while 93-95 mixed cars have 0 adaptive values. What values have you seen with the meth/procede cars after forcing timing - that to me is an interesting question.

Welcome to the club. You won't regret it. What else do you have on your car? Are you going to Dyno?

I've had mine 3 months and I just filled the last of the 5 gallon meth jug I got. Best $30 I've spent.

No differences or issues with the Dinan pipe or intake. The software is Dinan, so I'd assume that it's a good conservative tune. Like Shiv posted in previous post, the Procede can be used on top of an aftermarket tune.

Is this something a super novice can install? How much piping is actually invovled? Do you have to open up the intake manifold?

I just wanted to confirm. On the website under the link provided, it lists the meth system but than in parenthesis it says (N54). Is this just an error and obviously should read S65? All the other info is about the m3 and the price is 995-is this the right one?

Also-I take it you need to order the proceed and the meth kit seperatly correct? Ordering the meth kit is just the hardware and no software/proceed?

So total is 1900ish am I correct?

Wouldn't installing the proceed on top of the Dinan software give you problems with trying to dyno it and is this the only issue that will arise?

Not at all. It should take someone that's never done it before maybe 3-5 hours tops. I can do it in about 30min to an hour. Only the airbox/air filter need to be removed not the manifold.

Pointless to install a piggy back over an existing tune. Does not make any sense. Dinans changes to vanos, timing and a/f may not work well with the targets set by proceed. Proceed per shiv makes no adjustments to vanos, therefore with dinans vanos adjustments, that may not play as nicely with proceeds a/f and timing targets for example.

Whats the point-flash to stock and then use the piggy oink oink

I would highly recommend not using it in conjunction with a tune..

It's not going to cause serious issues but it's not the optimal configuration.

I wish ESS would chime in on the compatibility with their kits.

can anyone confirm the website is stating the wrong engine under the m3 order form? I dont want to have the n54 kit come in the mail. Also confirm you need to order both the tune and the meth kit since meth kit does not include the tune I suspect

Meth kit does not come with the tune.

In regard to the N54 vs. S65, I'd call Shiv to ensure that you will receive the correct product.
