The answer is yes we can.

So, anyone with evolve tuning right now can request a full update to 231E and also have the latest calibration.

Existing customers - please send your email to data@evolveautomotive.com

We will get back to you with a new tune and the 231E software with our latest version of evolve-R software also.
lol, sorry about that!

Just got like 30 emails this evening requesting 231E.

Just to let you guys know how this works.

When you originally send us your software you also give us a list of options you want and what your upgrades are + fuel.

What was done was that specific file was made using that version.

Now, have to repeat the process but on 231E.

So, when you send the requests please also tell us the same things again:

1) Your options list
2) Upgrades
3) Fuel

If you do this it saves us a lot of time searching through old emails and / or notes in your individual folders.

I have feeling we will be doing over 500 cars over the course of the next few weeks.

Anyone looking for a programming / coding job?

Yes, he sent the data area only....

He was meant to read the programme area + data area for 231E.

I would urge anyone who is having their tune updated to do a before and after dyno session for the benefit of the community.

I agree. Well you should do a "double-flash" (flash to tuned, then to current version, then to 231E) to reset the adaptations both times if you do - to get an apples to apples. Since there is no way to reset these yet that I'm aware of. The new software is going to be "trying harder" on 231E initially just from flashing to it.

I assume there is some benefit or Sal would not be doing them. ; ) Correct me if I'm wrong Sal. If there isn't a benefit, then feel free to not do mine. : )

The problem with me and the dyno, is that the closest competent place is in Philly (VAC - 300miles). Unless someone knows of a competent place closer to Pittsburgh.

If you want to dyno test then take a Bavarian technic with you and log everything to make more sense of everything.

Adaption will show it's ugly head too. The enemy of dyno testing!

Think we need to take this community up a few levels now.
Atleast to the same level as your turbo cousins!

I code and I have an M3, so that makes me double qualified! What does the BMW ecu assembly language look like? If you need someone email me at danfortner@snet.net. I am getting my masters in software management.

Sal, why don't you post your BT dyno configuration file (XML) file so everybody can benefit and get the same data logged.

I'll be willing to loan my BT tool for some limited testing.

So I went to the dealership this past Thursday to get my Steering wheel cover replaced. While I was there i asked about the update. My SA gave me an extremely puzzled look and told me he would look into it. He later came back and told me that my car was up to date and that if a module broke and needed to be replace they would then update the software. I ask my SA if I could get it updated out of warranty and he said that it would cost about $120/hr and take about 4-5 hours... this seemed extremely steep. I see that there is the evolve tune out there but is it worth getting the tune now or should i just wait until i get some type of x-pipe?
