Upgrades to make me feel more connected to the car

So what mods do you guys recommend to make the car feel more raw and make you feel like you are "one" with the car?

I was considering the performance steering wheel, and maybe some sportier seats.

Remove all the windows except the windshield, remove all the interior and sound deadening, take out the seat base padding, remove the catalytic converters, add straight pipes, no muffler.

I wonder how difficult it would be to remove just 1/2 of the sound deadening?

But seriously, I want to keep the essence of the car, just turn up the rawness a bit.
I like the idea of an akrapovic... just have to sell my meisterschaft exhaust first!
I loooooove the NA v8 so I have no plans of supercharging.

And what would be the order of best bang for the buck?

Definitely coilover suspension. It makes you feel like you are stuck to the road and you can feel every little bump. Just changing springs doesn't do much as you still have the biggest weakness in the suspension - the stock shocks.

Seriously though, a lower geared differential has been discussed as the best bang for the buck at times too. Dinan for example.
