BMW Tire and Wheel Road Hazrd Warranty

DON'T WORRY... im not asking IF I should get it, I'm just asking what prices people are being offered for the BMW warranty (not the 3rd party one). I need it since I went through 6 free tires (bubbles) and 1 cracked rim on my last car. Dealership is telling me $1,500.00

Let me know how much they were offering you this for.

Is it possible to buy the car from one dealership and then purchase the BMW plan from another dealership?

Im getting the 19 in rims so im not taking any chances. On my last car I didn't get it at first and I had no peace of mind driving in NY every time I hit a pot hole. With the package, I was all smiles

Thanks in advance

$1,500 for what time frame? I was offered a three-year warranty for $1,050 or a five-year warranty for $1,500...

Im hoping I can buy it from another dealership BEFORE taking delivery. Then for sure the other dealership will know there is no prior problems.

My dealer here in New Orleans, Peake BMW. I doubt you can purchase it from another dealer but who knows. Maybe a third-party option...

I just purchased my car about 3 weeks ago and the finance guy told me only BMW offers it now, not third party.

They wanted $1595 and I got them down to $1295

Did anyone call a dealer they are not buying car from and see if they would sell them tire and rim pkg. I don't think they can or will. But if so I will be calling around.

Haven't had a chance to talk to him. I left a message so I'll see what he says. I remember a while back he said 1300 but we'll see.

Just so everyone knows, you can buy the BMW warranty from any dealership when taking delivery of a new car and they don't even need to inspect it (since they know you haven't taken delivery yet and it's brand new). I got in contact with a dealership in Chicago (I'm in NY.... Don't ask) and i was offered $1199 for the same package the NY dealers want $1500 for.

Im curious to see if the FL dealerships will have even better prices due to no pot holes down there and needing to be more aggressive to sell that package.

I'll let you all know what i find out

That "gimmick crap" replaced 6 tires and 1 rim at no additional cost to me. Those 6 tires and 1 rim would have cost me (they were run flats) close to $4000 for a package that 3 years ago cost me $900. That gimmick crap works sometimes. Even if I buy now for this 3 year lease at $1200 and never use it, I'm still up close to $2000.

As for curb rash, don't bang your rims into curbs and you'll be good. Insurance isn't intended for that.

I checked around some FL dealerships as well and they are all at $399 per year which is the same $1,199 for 3 years I was getting from the dealership in Chicago. NJ and NY dealerships are trying to sell the same package at $1,500 and no one is budging.

Ladies name is Tina Logue at Autohaus BMW and its $1199 for the BMW coverage (not a 3rd party plan). tina.logue@bmwautohaus.com

Good luck

Well that is a lot better than $1,500!! Seeing these prices make me feel better about what I paid for my plan as I did not think I was going to buy it but I just did it as I signed the rest of the paper work. The insurance on my wife's X5 paid for itself, the insurance on my 550 and part of this plan. I hope to never need it but if I do, PS2's are not cheap...
