those are the "older" center caps, I have them too!
At first, I really liked the new ones, but after a while I decided I much prefer the old center caps.

Ah... very nice... I totally agree. I was thinking of having my bodyshop spray the caps.

who cares anyways, Im sure you didnt buy them for the weight savings. If you wanted light wheels, you would have bought 18" lightweight wheels.

The carbon fiber on these wheels is an overlay only!

Nice wheels! The CF versions are no lighter as they are CF overlays but they are 3 piece forged wheels so they are lighter than a standard cast in the same sizing.

I suppose weight saving point is moot on a vert anyhow.

keep hating...

Im not even going to get into that, coz I couldn't care less if my car weights a couple hundred lbs more than yours, because I have 2 cars in 1, and dropping the top and listening to 8400rpm redline with the top down MORE than makes up for the extra weight IMO.

I have an E36 Vert so I'm not hating, I'm only saying that saving a few lbs on wheels won't make much of difference due to the vert weight penalty. It's a simple matter of math and physics. You should definitely enjoy your car, I wasn't being critical.
