Engine wash

what is the process for washing the engine and the engine bay? I live in a dusty area and would like to wash out the engine every so often.

spray with P21s Total Auto Wash, allow to sit for a minute or so, use a boars hair brush to agitate, rinse, apply dressing of choice

if it's stock under the hood, no. if you have like a aftermarket intake where the filter could get wet yes. just try not to spray the water too hard at electrical components or the alternator. and make sure after you rinse and apply the dressing you close the hood and turn on your engine for 10-15 min to dry the water.
