M3 vs C63 Coupe - Autocar
Hi all,
Hopefully this isn't a repost, but here's the scanned article from today's UK Autocar magazine, giving a very balanced twin test of the new C63 against the M3 DCT Competition Package. I won't spoil the outcome, so enjoy the article! |

No, I'm referring to the fact that now automotive journalists are referring to flappy paddle gearboxes as "proper". That kills me.

cool article, thanks for posting. the AMG coupe definitely is a great looking and performing car and I'm glad (as I'm sure most people on here would agree) they are keeping pressure on M division to continue to push the design and performance of the M3.
Eager to hear more about the AMG transmission, but I think BMW will [hopefully] always have the advantage there...

Different strokes for different folks; I still say these two cars are aimed at different buyers and that for the Merc buyers this new coupe is perfect for them. Cheers, e46e92

Fail
That article is cutting BMW some slack by testing a C63 without the performance package. That C63 in the article has no LSD and is the less powerful version of the car. This UK magazines suck. I will wait for a Edmunds Insideline Review or some other reliable source. |

Thanks for posting the article. I really wish that the c63 had frameless door, and that the rear windows would go down like the other Benz coupes.

Going to 265 tires helps a bit but you are dead right. I unintentionally spin my rear tires all the time. It can actually be unsafe to light up the rears when you are trying to pull out from a side street into traffic because you don't get forward momentum for a few seconds.
