Settings for Quickest Take Off?
Can you tell me what settings you prefer you use to give you the fastest take off from standstill? (with out using launch control)

MDM, M mode to the max on all settings but keep power normal (so you don't burn up the clutch & have control of the gas pedal) bring it up to 2.0K as quick and as smooth as possible drop the clutch and at the same time while flooring the gas pedal.. this is what works for me.

What power setting do you guys use with the DCT to avoid "jumping" during quick acceleration, but not necessarily WOT?

Temperature plays a big roll in this. I would imagine with the m3s lower tq at low rpms and an independent suspension set on the softest setting will grip quite well when the weather warms up. I know as of now, at 50 degrees even half throttle burns em up!

Nissan GTR and launch control = broke transmission
BMW m3 and launch control = broken transmission, later. Wouldnt do it, wont do it, why the hell would you do that to a 70k car, even though I didnt pay nothing near that price.

Do you need to still work the accelerator?
I find that it will just light up the rear end. Every now and again I feel lazy and just want to accelerate as quick as possible with out too much wheel spin or effort.

Why MDM? It still controls wheel spin leading to a potentially slower get away.
