Hey, I didn't look through all 7 pages of this post but did you actually get any price offers on your M3 or you only got comments? There is actually someone on this forum who's looking for Lime Rock

the "hate" is most likely from the price tag. IMO it is not worth anything near what it was going for brand new or used (unless it's normally priced for an e9x m3). there wasn't anything special about it if you ask me and obviously some people who bought it thought it was god's personal m3

I think the suckers that bought them thought they were buying something special. Now they are trying to unload their cars for these ungodly prices which makes me giggle.

exactly. something "special". besides a sticker and paint (subjective), there wasn't anything one couldn't do themselves to make it a "special" edition. worth the price tag? to each his own

I agree, hate the price tag not the car... No way around it, if you are an M3 fan, the Lime Rock is a cool car. BMW should have made it a $500-$1000 "Lime Rock option" and called it a day...

What is the update on this OP? My advice is get what you can before the new M3/M4 comes out cause the bottom is really going to drop out of it when those release....

The price of the limerock comes from the fact that there are only 500 made. Supple<Demand, although the demand isnt all that high apparently. I don't understand people bashing OP in this thread, but oh well.

I saw a 2012 Java Green limited edition with 6k miles go through the dealer auction today in Nevada. It was loaded with all options and Dct. I bid it up to 55 but it ended up selling for 68k! The winning bidder was a dealer that sends the cars overseas. That price really surprised me as the car was so ugly it was cool. I thought maybe I would be the only guy there that liked it. I really think that if someone has an orange Limerock edition they should not have trouble getting at least 65 to 70k for it in the right venue.

I am selling my Lime Rock soon and I have been offered $67k on trade by a dealer so I think around $70k for a low mile loaded Lime Rock is a very fair price private party.
