Pics with 10 mm F&R on 18s here.
Looks like a great mod on the looks side to me. 1. Can you get longer wheel studs with locks? 2. Why don't manufacturers make cars look this way from the factory? Maybe they need to account for more clearance with mud and snow caked up on the wells and tires, sort of worst case conditions. |

Thanks Chino, looking great.
Would 15 mm fit on the front and would it look better? This seems like the best combination to me. Again, I don't really like the idea of using them and agree it is all about looks, but what the heck... |

Why dont you like the idea of using them? Are they dangerous? Bad for handling? Please explain as I would like to use them but if they are dangerous I would stay away from them.

looks much better, however I heard that prolonged use of spacers can cause damage. Is this true?

The brother run 10mm spacers on a Lexus RX300 for 3 years with no problems, admittedly it wouldn't be getting the same abuse at an M3 would, maybe each car is different.

Yes it can depending on the application. The weight load will be assigned to a different point axis so this can lead to various hub components issues in the long run. I recommend to sticking with oem specification.

All that being said are they unsafe? No, they are TUV approved and that is a pretty strict standard. Last but not least there are some handling benefits and of course they look killer. |
