I'm having all sorts of fitment issues with CF bits that I've ordered the last 2 weeks. Nothing seems to fit. Granted, all this stuff was knock off and wasn't THAT expensive to begin with.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Not the first time I hear issues with Vorsteiner.

Send it back man, no reason for you to do all that extra work. Send it back and make them give you a new one. Or drive straight to the company and bring the trunk straight to her desk.

Yeah I would man. But I've already gone through two trunks...the second being worse than the first. I feel like this is a manufacturing issue with big V. I don't think it will get better. But had the possibility of getting a lot worse.

If I drive there it's about a 10 hour drive there and back. I don't think they will do anything special with me being there in person. They really act like they can do no wrong. They don't understand their customers. She wouldn't even listen to me explaining the whole situation. Just kept cutting me off saying "whaddayou want, whaddayou want" completely unprofessional.

But yeah I wish I could do more.

Lets see what they come back with when I call them on Monday.

I just wanted to warn all my friends here on the forum that its just not worth the cost, time or the product quality.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience... If things shake out right you should check out the duke dynamics trunk that I'm running. Fitment was 8/10 and I'm being very critical here. Your never going to get a piece that fits oem, just keep that in mind when buying aftermarket! Good luck

Thanks yeah I hear DD are pretty decent. I'm not sure if you missed it or didn't read my entire post but I did mention the following, in my original post
--------------------------
"Now don't get me wrong, I understand after market parts will not be perfect. I truly do. I was expecting some form of fitment issues, I knew going in that it wouldn't be 100% like OEM. But this was absolutely ridiculous."
--------------------------
Fitment, is one issue, scratches, resin issues, clear coat issues, brake light shining through carbon fiber material on the top of the boot lid, because they didn't use enough CF material, are completely different issues. When a company states "perfection" in their motto, they better damn well be able to live up to that statement. Otherwise they are just blowing smoke up our collective asses

Mac.

So I was contacted by an individual at Vorsteiner today and it seems as if they are going to figure all this out for me. This individual was pretty sincere, let's see how it goes. Hoping for the best!

That's good to hear. I've always had positive dealings with them, and they have always been up front and responsive to any concerns.

Hope it works out!

it's 2013 and people are still surprised that Vorsteiner parts fit like shit for their cost. FYI no A/M parts fit 100% like OEM

Sorry to hear, but sad it's not the first time I've heard or seen VRS parts not fit right. Why pay top dollar for these aftermarket parts when they are clearly just as good as fakes from China...

Apparently people have a hard time READING!
FYI in my original post I stated that I know that aftermarket parts don't fit 100%
I'm surprised that people (in 2013) don't read the entire post before being "judgmental"

That's what I'm surprised by

And if this post sounds overly aggressive I apologize. This isn't the first time I have had this said to me, and because I addressed it in my original post, it is a useless statement.

def a little aggressive; Vorsteiner parts aren't great and that's not news at all. So relax a bit. Sorry for my useless statement; I guess you should've read more though

I did read and knew about Vorsteiner and stated to Vorsteiner that I have heard about issues with their product and was expecting some quality assurance. They told me they would give me that. Again 1st trunk bad, I spoke to them again and they assured me they would QA the second o, 2nd trunk bad. At which point I was pretty much done. Not sure why you can't understand this.

You're putting this on me as if I didn't read and I didn't do my due diligence. Well if you feel that way don't read this thread.

Plain and simple. I'm frustrated with them already. You adding fuel to the fire by making pointless statements, that don't help, serves absolutely no purpose.

Everyone that's responded understands that. Not sure why you felt the need to judge.

This posting was for people to know and so that they are careful in their decisions. That's it, and that's all, if they choose to purchase from them they can, I won't judge them for it and ask them why they didn't read this thread.

Unfortunately, no aftermarket part fits perfectly. My Vorsteiner trunk fits at about a 9/10 after 3 hours of straight alignment work on it. Hope they get you taken care of!

If aftermarket parts have shitty fitting then they shouldn't be charging you an arm and a leg for some cf...hmmm there's a thought
