Anyone order 2011 e90 yet?

I have seen a few posts of people that have ordered their M3s and were told they would be delivered in march and be MY2011. Has anyone had this with an e90?

Ok, well I highly doubt that the 2011 will be a new engine. There is a whole thread on this and a lot good reasons why they would not do this. But you never know.

I just need my Sales guy to call me back already...

Ironed out the financials regarding a 2011 E93 M3 and my trade-in. Salesguy said I was on the "list" for when allocations come out-hopefully later this month. Pricing is not even out yet.

Yeah, definitely.

I thought you were mainly concerned with whether the E90 would be called a MY2011 in March like the E92/E93, or whether the MY2011 E90 would even exist (seems lots of speculation rumor in that area lately).

If you are just wondering about the engine, then yeah, don't worry about it. Plus, even on the remote chance there will be engine changes, the chances the E92/E93 would get a new motor while the E90 did not could legitimately (IMHO) be said to be zero. As for the rumored ZCP, well there it is at least plausible only the E92 will get it. But that is total speculation either way as well.

all this talk of no e90 m3 for MY20011 seems ridiculous to me. i realize this has been discussed thoroughly on another post, but it really seems odd that people believe bmw is going to change their practices mid-cycle. m3 sales suck right now because every car and every car company is having crappy sales.

i'm still planning to place my order for a MY2011 e90 m3 sometime next month...
hopefully i won't be played a fool

2011 M3 Convertible

I test drove the sedan and the convertible in the DCT and manual this past weekend to figure out what I want. I am going with the 6MT. I currently drive a 5spd 330i convertible.

I also want an individual color. The salesman (BMW of Sterling here in the DC area) sad he has done a few cars with individual colors so we talked about a few combos. I settled on a ruby black/platinum novilllo/maple wood combo.

I mentioned that I would put the order in in March (when the 2011 was available). He called me yesterday and said he called the port and they said they would put the request through to Germany and would let me know what the response is to my request. He said it takes one to two weeks to get a response.

He also said that 2010 M3 CAN NOT be ordered anymore and the 2011 will not be available until Feb/March.

My concern in all this is how can you put in a request for a individual color if the cars are not available yet. I guess buy the time the 2011 are ready it may coincide with my approval/denial for my color request.

He must feel confident because he did not ask for a secondary color.

The reason there is all this talk about this is that if you go in to order an M3 right now, you cant. and there is a lot of confusion of when you will be able to order a car, and if it will be a 2011 or a 2010. And if you can order a E90 M3 at all...

MY2011 production starts in 03/10, orders can be submitted now according to BMW announcements.

I posted last month the announcement of Dec 18 cut off date for MY2010 orders and the beginning of MY2011 orders. I'm looking for it...

As far as I know you can't actually order (build) a car without an allocation and they don't come out until the end of January for March builds.

I just ordered a 2011 E92, but for a little my SA thought I was looking into the E90 and urged me to order soon as they are already in March production and will likely hit April any day now (Christmas orders). Still, she did say 2011 production begins in April. Sorry I can't be more help

Damn, I must have JUST made the cutoff. Then again, I don't know if I could have waited for April. It's a royal PITA carpooling with the wife. Yeah, I bought an end of the model year car but I'm not that ate up about it. I look at it like this, I'll have SUPER low miles for a 2010 model.

I looked at the thread I pointed to you above (in my first post) and noticed that BMRLVR ended up changing his order back to a 2011 MY again. So, as far as he is concerned, and the nebulous "distribution" that his dealer reportedly spoke with, he has a 2011 MY on the way (the first in Canada, supposedly).

How reliable is that? No idea. But at least one other forum member seems pretty convinced he has a 2011 E90 M3 locked in. FWIW.

I went to the source instead of finding that "announcement".

I just spoke with one of my local dealers and the deal is that, yes, Dec 18 was the cutoff date for MY2010 orders that included special and Individual configurations only. Standard MY2010 orders still can be made... if the dealer have any allocations.

MY2010 production ends in 02/10.

Just a passing comment that "order" is an overloaded term. I can "order" a car through my Client Advisor but until there is an allocation and the production number to go with it, meaning a production build slot for a real car, I haven't actually "ordered" anything except a place on the dealer's internal bookkeeping list. Allocations usually come out towards the end of the month for the months two months in the future, e.g. end of January for March builds.

I ordered an E90 M3 on December 14th. They called me on the 15th to let me know it would be a MY2011 delivered in April - Jerez Black, Black Novillo, EDC, Audiophile, 19's, 6MT.

I have no clue on any LCI other than the discussion on the board, would love to hear when details are released. The dealer will inform me as well........
