Upgraded Base System in 08 M3 Sedan

Equal to my desire to hear the roar of the engine is my desire to hear quality sound coming from my audio system. Audio Sensations in West Chester, Ohio (outside of Cincy) put together a quality system that brings out the best in my music.

Installed are the following:

Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 Sound Processor for OEM integration and 131 bands of equalization
Rockford Fosgate P400.4 Amp for cabin speakers
Rockford Fosgate T400.2 Amp for trunk sub
MB Quart PVF 213 5 1/4" front door components with minimal mods to door
MB Quart RVF 210 4" rear deck components
Alpine Type R 10" sub in a ported enclosure

Outside of the larger door speakers and the trunk sub, there is no evidence of the upgrade. I am very pleased with the sound quality of this system and being able to hear each note of an instrument with clarity.

In early spring, I'm going to have the shop fabricate a custom enclosure for the rear corner of the trunk, thus allowing more luggage space. Shoot me a reply post or private message if you have any questions or comments.

Thanks

PS - I do a lot of lurking and don't post that often, but wanted the forum to know your knowledge is helpful and appreciated!

Cool. I've been wondering about an upgrade to 5.25" front speakers but I wasn't sure about how they would fit. I'm hoping they didn't put that screw through the leather door trim.

Yes. Google RF 3sixty.2 + bluetooth and see what comes up. You'll be greeted by a plethora of bluetooth chip failures. If not for that issue, it would be a great product.

Hey Technic, no underseat sub upgrade. That would undoubtedly provide some good midbass, but didn't go that route, just yet. Thanks by the way for a heck of a write up on your system...I bet it sounds great and the install looks perfect.

Gemcoska, the 3Sixty.2 is phenomenal. I don't have any comparisons between the other processors you mentioned, but the 3Sixty.2 affords lots of adjustability to your system.

HIS4, I too read a lot about bluetooth failures, but this being my third 3Sixty product I must admit I haven't had any challenges connecting via bluetooth for the many adjustments I do. Knock on wood!

Accord, total equipment was about $1,600. Installation ran $900 inclusive of all cabling.
