Your minium wait will be 3 months, and it could take as long a 5 months. The problem you have is these wheels are made to order and you choose colour, type, finish and width, so there not off the shelf wheels.

I believe 3 months (12 weeks) should be the time line that any product that you order that needs to be manufactured should take. I usually wait that long for furniture and other items to be made and imported into the country. The problem is that with wheels you usually walk into a tyre/wheel shop, see the wheels on the self, say I want a set and you come back a couple days later and have them fitted as they are mass produced.

360 wheels are not mass produced and the demand is outstriping supply, the problem you have is whether you want to wait 3-5 months for these wheels or go buy a mass produced wheel. Yes it it frustrating and I jumped up & down like the next guy did.

It's the same for me with BMW, I have ordered my third X5 E70, this one I ordered at the end of Jan 09, it will not go into production unit early April 09 and I won't get it here in Australia until the end of May or early June 09, thats 4-5 months, I could go and buy one off the showroom floor but I want one with all the options and dealers don't order X5's fully optioned up to sell of the floor. It's using the same principal, I don't want the standard mass produced product and for that I have to wait, I am not happy about it and I have told the dealer who is a mate of mine its crap but thats the way it is.

Forgeline only makes wheels per order, nothing is in stock. Everything from style, finish, color, hardware option must be selected at time of order.

The last set I ordered from Forgeline took 4 (that's right, four) weeks to deliver to our shop door. How's that for service?! I will continue to recommend them to our customers looking for custom wheels.

Big difference between a car and a set of wheels! If it takes the same amount of time to deliver a set of wheels as it does to make a car than something is really wrong.

I had the same experience with HRE -- under 4 weeks for custom fitment. The bottom line is that, if an order is going to take much longer than expected, the customer should be notified. No custom wheel manufacturer, to my knowledge, advertises 3-5 month waits, and customers have expectations of about 4-8 weeks, per most companies' disclosures. Anything outside of that time frame should be conveyed to the customer and possibly merits a discount or other compensation. Delays are sometimes unavoidable, but there's no excuse for not being straight with the customer. If the vendor states upfront that the wait is going to be 3-5 months, that's a different story. 360 is a hot brand right now (and rightfully so based on their offerings), and if they cannot meet demand within their usual timeframe, that's something customers should know before handing over money. (I'm not passing judgment on 360, b/c I'm not privy to the OP's dealings with them).

lots of posts here on this topic. 360 is notorious for being late and basically overcommitting/underdelivering. the wheels are nice but they are a pain in the ass to deal with based on my experience. i'll never buy another set from them again - too much hassle.

Thx,
BC

My custom fit and finish HREs took 3.5 weeks. Dymags dont even take 5 months. There must be a huge wait list to be keeping your wheels that long.

Welcome to the club. If I do not get the wheels within the next week to 10 days, I am going to demand a full refund and order either HRE, DPE, or BBS wheels. And if they refuse to give a refund I will get an attorney involved. It has been 12 weeks since I ordered...finish date was supposed to be Feb 22.

Sounds like growing pains. Shouldn't be taking orders if they can't handle the volume. Glad I didn't order a set of their split five spoke.

Words of advice--think twice about DPE--I had a pretty bad experience with them in terms of delays, misleading statements about the wheels being "ready to ship," and improper offset issues. They made it right (almost) in the end, but it was a hassle. HRE (IMO) makes a better wheel and offers better support.

Thanks gthiryty! This quote sums it up best... Guys there is always another side to a story, not even going to get into details as we don't believe in fueling forum fires Regardless we are on top of this order... the last remaining delayed orders... and the other 150+ sets a month

The excuse is simply growing pains, we never expected to get this big especially so quickly! In the end I do have to thank all of our current customers, delayed or not, because what gives us the satisfaction and drive we need to do what we do best is your un-Canny excitement and Happiness with our end product Thank you guys and we are continuously expanding to achieve 360 Perfection!

You do realize they make multiple sets of each style wheel?

I think he literally means the same set of wheels, not same style.
