headrest mount for camera
Has anyone used this system for mounting your Contour or Go Pro camera? Looks pretty slick and relatively inexpensive.

Every club has rules that allow at least one type of cam mounting gear, you just have to follow them. Ignore them and you won't pass tech, it's as simple as that.
The issue with headrest mounts is side impact risk, the person (driver or instructor, depending which seat you mount the cam on) seating on the opposite side can get seriously injured by it. And the headrest mounts that attach to both seats won't work either, the very first thing an instructor will do when he/she enters your car is adjust the seat, and now your cam is pointing to a side mirror. The issue with suction caps is that they can fly off, when improperly installed, otherwise they're extremely reliable. Some clubs restrict their use inside the car only. Follow the rules and it's no big deal, the rules are there for everyone's safety |

Thanks All...looks like the Cruise cam is about 50 bucks cheaper than the other option I mentioned and folks like it. No brainer, going w/Cruise cam!
Are folks buying it directly from their web site or at a local dealer? |

I've seen these made from PVC pipe as well. Add on some Plastidip and you're good to go!

Can anyone post a vid of what this setup looks like in motion? Thanks.
I personally am looking for a setup that captures the "track" and driver input. |

Check out my thread in the vidoe or track forum bmw cca autoclub roval. That setup is just a pvc pipe with holes drilled in it clamped down with a u bolt. Ghetto rigging at its finest!! $5.
