DCT the wait...
I am having some issues with my DCT and I am not entirely sure whether it's the engineering/programing of the DCT or it's just my OCD. After I down shift and slow for a corner (I'm talking about normal driving around town here), I usually get back on the gas half way through. The engine, however, does not respond. There seems to be a time lag between me pressing the gas and the engine's response. Why is this happening?
This might have been discussed before, if so, please point me to the right thread. Please also take the poll, I want to know whether DCT owners feels the same.

Been discussed on the forum at length. Many of us have it...report it to the dealer.

Having one with a poll is actually pretty useful and I haven't seen one before this one - it's been almost impossible to tell roughly what percentage of the cars/drivers have the issue.

It's amazing how under utilized the search key is used.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

It is worth conducting new polls on same subjects (such as this) over time, in order to see whether there have been any improvements in DCT handling after the software updates. Hopefully if the same poll is repeated in 6M time, 100% of the answers will be "NO"! (wishfull thinking...)

This 'lag'-problem is really annoying me. My second car is a 5 year old 530dA, and I prefer that car to drive with... If BMW doesn't find a solution for this problem within a few months, i'll think about selling this car...
