Avant Garde M359

Does anyone using the Avant Garde M359, so you guys can give me some feed back about this wheels, because i don't see there are many threads about the AG359. How's the quality? I know the OEM ZCP is much better than the AG M359, but i just want to get the same look as a alternative.

I saw a set and I thought they were of excellent quality. I have a 2011 M3 ZCP and I have to tell you I thought the AGs looked great. The AGs are a low pressure cast like OEM and are just a hair heavier.

I am going to buy a set around christmas, I would like a used set of real ones but the used prices are too close to new ones. They are better quality from what I gather than the VMR wheels because of the low pressure cast. The slight difference in weight will make no real world difference. In some of the pictures the ag look more bright silver and the oem look more of a grey tint. Maybe someone could give there thoughts on that. Could just be the pictures.

Oh, really? So in your opinion, you think the AGs are good to buy as a alternative of the oem. I think i might get one set later. Thank you.

I have an question. What does it means by low pressure cast? It means good quality?

This thread will explain the different castings.

I had a set of ag wheels on a is300 lexus that were knock offs of a advan model. I had no issues with them and they looked high quality. I had no issues in the three years I used them.

I would always rather have OEM, but if it doesn't fit your budget the AGs are a good alternative.

AG wheels are great because they are low pressure cast. We've sold countless sets of these wheels, just can't go wrong with the price! =)

The ZCP wheel comes with OEM sizes 245/35/19 and 265/35/19, however they are stretched on there.

I went with a 255.35.19 and 285.30.19.

I ordered a set several months ago of the AG M359's.

I was disappointed in the paint quality. Dust in finish and lots of little bumps.

These are pictures of brand new wheels right out of the box:

They were returned for a refund, Avant Garde didn't want to attempt exchange for some wheels without finish problems. So much for their trust in their own quality.

Oh, really? It was like that when you opened the box? I can accept this problem if i used it for some mileages, because the wheels is like only a thousand more.

Yes, they were purchased through PYSPEED. They did give me a refund (eventually) but wouldn't accept the return of the wheels, instead having me send them to AG directly.

I don't want to start a vendor-bashing thread, but I was quite disappointed in PYSPEED as a vendor as well, and I won't be doing business with them in the future.

Here is my last email to them, that sort of sums up my experience:

Quote:
Thanks for the refund. It came through today.

There are a couple things you guys should consider addressing that would be helpful for future customers. I will not be repeating my business with PYSpeed because of the following things:

1. FALSE INFORMATION - Your thread ( http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=702031 ) lists you as a stocking vendor. THIS IS FALSE! You are a drop ship vendor and claim to be stocking due to a few accounting sleights of hand. Your "stock" is still at Avant Garde. If you truly were a stocking vendor, you would process returns directly instead of making me wait for Avant Garde to send YOU a refund and inspect your inventory before sending it out. Further more, the statements "guaranteed flawless straight from the factory! With perfect fitment and evenly coated finish." are also false, as demonstrated by the wheels I received.
2. BAD PRODUCT - Avant Garde has serious QC issues. The flaws on my wheels were unacceptable. It is especially telling that Avant Garde would not send me replacement wheels and just sent me a refund instead. Doesn't inspire much confidence in the product, does it?

I was please with the support I received from Bobby and Sean, but I believe the information regarding the product I was provided was false and the product itself was of poor quality. For these reasons, I will not be working with PYSpeed or Avant Garde in the future.

i also recently bought them from Bobby/Sean @ pyspeed , they are stored away until it gets a bit colder, so i cant post pics.. but upon my delivery check, i did not see any issues with the paint finish ..it looked pretty nice to me.
