Only a matter of time before supercharger came out for the M3. Just didn't think it'd be this early!

Well given the trend with the E46 I'd say this could be about 550HP or more. Later systems can have the E92 putting out 800+. I can't wait!!!

I would not trust any vendor at this point to develop a full proof supercharger that will not throw a million ecu codes and not blow up the long block.

The car has not been out long enough which means these kits have no historical tests to back the reliability and performance.

Basically you will be the lab rat for them and if something happens i doubt they will cover what the factory warranty does not for the engine.

+1 there. Unless it is made by Dinan who normally R&D's the heck out of their upgrades not to mention installs them at the dealer with an extention of your defacto warranty for the most part....no way I'd be putting that in my engine bay...not yet. Too soon! The car hasn't even been in production 6 months yet for christ sake. I'd hold off for now for sure.

800hp? No doubt it is possible, but I cannot imagine such a car being anywhere near reliable or durable.

So yeah, I'm guessing you never heard of Dinan, Active Autowerks, Evosport, VF-Engineering, and ESS. Those are just the ones that came up off the top of my head that make E46 M3 superchargers. Not to mention, Horse Power Freaks which made a 750 hp turbo for it. Supercharging the new M3 will be happening. You better believe it.

I think he meant that G Power did not have any supercharger kit for the E46 M3.

The major tuners will need at least 8-12 months for testing & development before we see anything concrete in the market.

I don't see how this company has the "first" supercharger since they haven't released anything, and all they've got instead is a webpage saying it's under development. I bet there are several other tuners that are currently tinkering with FI for this car, so I don't see why this is news.

Actually, they do have one:

G-POWER compressor kit EVO II incl. modified G-POWER engine - plus 133 hp
M3, 476hp (350kW) / 510Nm at 3950 r.p.m. consisting of G21 compressor with MD bearing and freewheel clutch, CNC supercharger bracket system for longer belt take-up, G21 compressor oil system, G-POWER stream-optimized intercooler with stainless-steel compressed-air system, suction area temperatur protected - outside engine compartment, G-POWER sport air filter, additional control system G-Tronic, G-POWER fuel control system I, G-POWER FEEDBACK bypass valve system II, G-POWER CARBON protection cover, including additional warranty insurance.

They are a well-known German tuner (since 1983 under that name), but their stuff has not been widely ditributed in the US in the past.
