Differences in Recaro SPG's??

Hi, I'm looking to pick up a couple of Recaro SPG's for my car but I notice there is 2 types of regular size SPG (i.e. not XL). Can anybody tell me what the difference is?

Cheers

It's a different size. Also, I believe the top image is a replica seat.

You will need to sit in them to decide which one fits you best.

The XL is slightly larger in both the hips and shoulders. I'm 6' 175 (33" waste) and the regular size fits me perfectly. It's snug but not uncomfortable. I put the XL on the right side because most passengers don't want to be quite as snug and/or don't quite fit. You really need to sit in them before buying.

Thanks for the replies guys but I don't think I was clear in my first post. I am NOT talking about XL's here, I know they are larger - this is not the question.

My question concerns the 2 seats pictured, apart from the obvious difference in the seat covers I was wondering what other difference there is? I know that in the Pole Positions there are some seats that are certified for road and some that are just certified for racing. Is this the case here?

And if they are copies, they are bloody good ones.

They are replicas. Genuine SPG's have the grip material in the shoulder supports and the "Recaro" Embroidery isn't outlined.

The safest way to make sure you are getting genuine Recaro's is tho buy from an authorized source. In the UK it should be easy.

Are you 100% sure they are replicas? I just find it very strange that a company would go to great detail in making exact matches of the stickers with serial numbers etc only to miss the shoulder grips and change the font.

99.9 percent sure. Based on the Genuine SPG's I own and the other Genuine SPG's in some of my friend's vehicles.

The stickers are the easiest part.
