Adding resonators to IPE F1 exhaust?

I currently have the IPE F1 system and love the sound of it! However I would like to eliminate just a little of the rasp that it has by adding some small resonators. I have a set of Vibrant 1792 resonators lying around and they're small enough I could fit them just about anywhere. See attached pic for next question. Will their placement, whether pre or post F1 merge section, make a difference? If placement doesn't make a difference, Id like to place the resonators at section 2 as it seems it would be the easier than 1 or 3. Before anyone decides to flame or diss my idea, I've tried other x pipes and didn't like their sound near as much as the F1.

I would place them in place number 3. I would not touch the rear section. It could hurt your resale later if that section is altered. Sound wise it wont matter much.

Thanks for the reply! I agree on not wanting to place them on the rear section and still semi hesitant on section 3. Any particular reason you would go with section 3 over 2?

Just for the fact that it is another foot or so away from the heat. want them as far away from the header as possible,

I'm not a welding expert but would one be able to get a full 360 degree weld in section 3? Section 2 looks easier based on the labor aspect.

I may have no idea what the heck I'm talking about

Section 3 first, then section 1 if you need more.

That's not an ideal mid-section for welding though. If you really want to add in resonators, I found that my Mastermind has very agreeable dimensions. I've had 4 Vibrant 1792's welded into mine (2 in front and 2 behind the X)

I believe most of the rasp, is coming from the X-pipe?! (Which is the reason it sounds like that over the reg IPE setup) So adding it to section 3, would be the best choice!
Whatever you end up doing? Please make a video of it.
