I actually saw that before. It was obvious that it wasn't exactly stock looking but at the same time it wasn't as big as some tips we've seen. We're so used to seeing oversized tips maybe an inbetween look would be the best

Was in the market for an Akrapovic, but now I'm considering this. Great job ESS!

Anyone in the Bay Area have the full ESS exhaust setup? Would love to hear it in person.

Just ordered my SS race exhaust, as it's not so loud, but ESS exhaust sounds perfect !

I don't see multiple options for tips. I like the tapered look just inside the tips or even the rolled stock tips.

Actually, can the rolled OEM tips be attached to the ESS exhaust without any technical or operational problems?

Did you guys incorporate a Helmholtz chamber into the design? Has the million dollar "drone" question been answered?

There is very little to no drone with the HFC system. It has a touch only around 2800 RPM that is slighly louder than stock but that is it. It sounds like the Akrapovic in volume for most of the RPM range until around 7k then it is a bit more aggressive to redline. The catless I heard outside the car but not in. The catless system is a little louder than the HFC during drive by. Coming from the RPI exhaust which droned like a mofo this system is nowhere near what some systems have in terms of rasp and drone. If you want a really loud exhaust this is not for you. For me it is a very nice balance for daily driving and track use where it sounds raw at high RPM but is very civil around town.

Exhaust sounds and looks great, congrats on a solid creation.

Since I haven't heard one in person and am going solely based off the videos, am I right in thinking that the HFC version sounds like the OEM exhaust mod a bit? Maybe the same tone but louder in volume than the perforated OEM mod method?

The sound and Price are definitely eye catchers.

Mr. Benvo, does this system qualify for your Stage 2 tune as well?

My cold start is pretty quiet as I have it removed in my current tune. It sounds the same cold as it does warm during startup.

Correct, the high flow cats are replaced with resonators in the catless version. This changes the design to 4 resonators VS 2 HFC and 2 resonators.
Its really hard to see the dyno numbers, so what was the increase? And now have you done a Dyno run with a tune to compare the graphs and see what a tune adds as far as power goes for total HP gains w/exhaust/tune?

With the HFC system we are seeing around 15 whp /15 ft/lb TQ. Catless we will test soon along with our test pipes + rear section which are installed now. Software will remain stock for most of this testing then we will get some tuned dyno's done.

Roman, next thing to work on is 1/2 inch bigger exhaust tips, like Akra.

Hey Roman, can you do an in-car vid of your catless set up?

Nice job btw. I love how you've eliminated the rasp. That's the only part of the Akra I don't like.

I'd be willing to bet Roman isn't going to do anything special for you after your software thread.

Edit: apologies to Longboarder ....comment was directed at Longwong.
