Cool 2 AW M3s raising hell on the Nurburgring

Friend following me on the Ring. He has ~10 laps on the Ring, I have about ~50. The video shows the importance of exit speed. The rest of my videos can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/usarmyav8tor

Great videos, looks like you guys are having one hell of a time. I wish I could drive my M3 around the track at least once!

You've got to teach them somehow, and I agree, I wish my dad had taken me on a few laps around the ring as a kid.

I think taking your kids out is awesome. So many people live their lives afraid to do anything the slightest bit risky. I used to jump my bmx bike without a helmet, I got in BB gun fights as a kid where the rule was you can't aim above the waist and somehow I made it through all of that. AV8tor, I felt the same way the kids did on the banked corner the first time I did it. In fact, I think I made the same noise

He had his kids in the car? That's fucking crazy. He must really be confident in his driving.

lol....sorry man....my wife do have two sisters, but they all married.

I think having my son in the car was't the crazy part. I wish I had a picture of my trunk on that day. I had pots, pans, baby strollers, leftover soup, and lots of crap. Thankfully nothing happened that day, otherwise you would definitely see all kinds of crap flying out of my car.......

I'm OK with trusting your own driving, but trusting everyone else on the ring is something else. As I said before, all it's gonna take is one small mistake from either you or a crazy guy who doesn't know what he is doing and you will be tracking in the future with two less kids.

I agree with you that's Nucking Futs.

And rush hour driving on the beltway or 66 is anybetter?

I would say on a closed track like that, where everyone is paying attention to whats going on, I would actually feel safer. You see the nut job biatches doing their make-up, yapping on a cell, smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee, and texting on their blackberries oh, and yeah driving in and out of lanes... I rest my case.

I think we as a society have gone from one extreme of no child safety to overemphasis on safety.

(e.g. I remember sitting in the front bench of the family station wagon with no car seat and no seat belt. yeah yeah I am old...)

Of course I don't recommend reckless behavior, but a lot of us have grown up in a less safe time, and we all turned out ok. Too many damn hippy liberals scaring everyone into bubble wrap....

Motorcyclists account for just about all of the deaths at the track. It is pretty safe for autos. I believe Sabine Schmitz started pretty young at the track. I would say driving at the Ring is just about as dangerous as driving on the Interstates, at least at the track you are dealing with the top 10%, on the road, you have to deal with the rest of the retards and the Armco barriers prevent you from flying into the surrounding trees. There are risks with everything. Would I take my kids onto the Ring, hell yes. I'm going to make myself a Lewis Hamilton so I can live my life through him. Much better seats at F1 races. LOL

Thanks! Unfortunately, I moved back to Alabama a few weeks ago so no more Ring videos from me for a while. Maybe some videos of Road Atlanta in a few months but those won't be as exciting as the ones from the Ring.
