E90 v 92 OEM exhaust

Just want to verify quickly that the only difference between these two exhausts is the tip length, is this correct? Meaning if I picked up an E92 exhaust to do the modification to, I would simply need to swap the E90 tips over to the E92 system and be golden... Am I right or way off base here?

Thanks in advance!

Correct.

E92 M3

189mm total length
11mm stagger

E90 M3

147mm total length
11mm stagger

42mm difference.

Cool! Thanks! I just wanted to make sure the E92 exhaust I am looking at will bolt up and all I need to do is drill out some rivets and swap exhaust tips. I want to mod the oem exhaust with as little downtime as possible.

100% correct. I have an e93 and am running an OEM Mod originally from an e90. Complete plug and play. Person before me had drilled out the stock tips and replaced with black aftermarket tips. You'll be fine with any OEM exhaust if you are willing to adjust the tips.

Another thing you can do, if going from E92 to E90, is cut the tips to end up with a single walled version. There was a DIY on this a few weeks ago.
